  • THE WALL MAKEOVER | Ft. Happy Moose

Processed with VSCO with a4 preset

    BONJOUR FRIENDS

So about a month ago I had a tiny lightbulb go on above my head. I realized I’ve not really done anything daring or completely just outrageous in a while, and that everything happening around me was just very.. well.. plain. I had been focusing on school, hiding in my bedroom, and just not really creating things I enjoyed.

Being the insomniac I am, at 2am one night I found myself on Pinterest (and we all know how that goes…too many ideas..you can’t really escape.) So when the opportunity came around for me to make a change I took it.

For my grade 12 Film and media class we were told to make a video of anything, and at the time this idea of change was continuously sitting in my mind. Normally I’m not one to fear change but more recently its really been hitting me hard. Instead of letting the thoughts of “what if” control me I jumped off that giant cliff into a bucket of well… black paint. Yes you heard that right. (Wait no, not literally gosh i’m not that stupid.)

I started the process of painting a wall in my clean white room black. The complete polar opposite to my fathers dismay. Anyway I was able to create a video with part of my process! If you haven’t checked it out yet its up on my Youtube channel… you can click here!

Today I thought I would show you my WALL MAKEOVER (*Duh duh duuuuhhhhhh*)

    SO CUE BEFORE PHOTO!

  • Pastel Homes | Interior Design Round-up

    Pastel homes Main photo

    Hey everyone!
Recently I have been scrolling through Pinterest and noticed tons of pastel things because of spring! Pastel was a huge trend back in 2013 and they are making their slow return now!
So today I thought I would do an Interior Design Round-up (Which I haven’t done in quite a long time) for Pastel homes!

    Pastel Bedrooms!
I find that Pastel colours bring so much more light into bedrooms! Makes it look all airy and cozy!

Makes the room look 10x cuter (haha) and more welcoming!

    Pastel Living Rooms!

Definitely brings some character into the room!

    Pastel Offices!
This would definitely help clear your mind while you work because the brighter the area the cleaner it looks. When a room is clean it puts your mind at ease.

  • Room Tour 2016

    Room tour thumbnailHey Everyone!

As I said in my last post… here it is… THE ROOM TOUR.

I have working on my room basically since summer last year. I have been trying to make it work with both my aesthetic and how I function on a daily basis. Now this room is not at all perfect and exactly where I would like it to be but for now I’m pretty happy with it! I am so thankful for what I do have and for the amazing people that have contributed to my finished room. If I do ever make my room even better, I will for sure make another room tour, but for now… enjoy.

    So I thought first I should share some before photos!12 3 4

Yes this design choice was not my best but it did the job for the time being! I really liked how the paint swatches looked on the wall at the time and I even did a post on it if you look back a bit but honestly it makes me cringe now. I even had some people when they saw it in my videos or when they came over suggest the colours they liked the best. Haha, I had to explain very awkwardly that they were just for decoration.

Now to the new and improved room.

*Yes there is tape on my door from my Justin Bieber faze when I stuck a bunch of stickers of his face on there. Have not been able to get it off. If you have any tips let me know haha*

  • How To Decorate Your Blank Walls *

    Decorate Your Blank walls

    Hey Everyone!

I don’t know about you but for a while I have had a problem finding what I wanted to do with my blank white walls in my bedroom. They have had several things put on them in the past few years such as large Justin Bieber posters to paint swatches to horrible paintings and drawings. I am a perfectionist so that is why it has bothered me this long.

When Happy Moose NZ Agreed to work with me I was overjoyed. I had went through their site and found exactly what I wanted to do!

Today I am going to share with you 3 Ideas on how to decorate your blank walls f.t Happy Moose.

    1. Wall Dots.

I chose a variety of sizes to show you the possibilities!

Happy Moose’s Products allow you to choose your own photos to print onto the dots! Which I love because you can customize to it whatever you would like!

As you can see these wall dots definitely make the room feel more personalized and makes my room more to my aesthetic.

    Packaged:

The Wall dots came in adorable brown paper on cardboard with a cute stamp on the front.

    2.  Cards

If you have been around since summer you would have known that I reviewed Simply colour the adult colouring book.

Inside the Package attached was these beautiful cards! I have been playing around for a while with them on my  walls but i have found the perfect place and way to put them up!IMG_6528

Here I placed the cards on cute little clips in a line! I think it helps showcase them!

    3. Magazine Squares.

I have always been one to cut out magazine pictures of things i like and put them on my wall but here I decided I wanted to make it look more grown up. In this photo I backed the image on plain white printer paper and sticky tacked it to my wall to fill up a blank wall that has been daunting me!
